dude this song is so much different than all your other songs, but i love the melody work here. the melody is so fucking sick at 45 seconds. props dude.

haha. dude. its all buildup. no climax. dont get me wrong. i have the same exact problem. its something almost everyone has to work on. other than that, super good feel to it. its got some creepy vibes going but it works. 5/5 but 8/10 cause it doesn't blow me away... yet. work on this and you'll have a sick song

you love those arps don't you...

good job on this one man. intro was a bit long, but it was managable. the only thing is that this song felt like it was building up to something huge... but it never exploded. it kinda just died off. like i replied to one of your comments on my song saying the same thing. i have a super hard time making my music climax.... anyway. good song.

ps. compress the kick and turn the gain up to like 6. it'll give you that strong deep kick that most songs lack.

insane intro!

this song is awesome! dude i love the intro and the arppeggio you used for the bassline. also the melody is very wild, but in a good way. i wish i could make melodies like this. for some reason i always get stuck in those short rythyms.

btw: you're using FL studio right? if so, what vst's are you using to get these sounds?!?!

Yep, I'm using FL studio. I used Sytrus for most of the synths, and some drum samples. I used a lot of automations; For example, the bass was originally just a saw, but I played it in really low keys and made a sawtooth automation on the volume. I also used a lot of nice-sounding presets, like Formant 2 Growl under arps, with some effects of course.

like i said when your were making this...

this song has soo much emotion and feeling put into it. i really really like it. for your first song, this is amazing. the melody work is 100000x better than any of my stuff. you gotta write some stuff for me. lol.

some things to improve on:
1. the kick is a little weird. its not as defined as i think it should be.
2. I don't think the phasing of the volume throughout the song is really needed. i heard the first version of this and it sounded really good without it.
3. your melodies are really good, but try switching up the sounds you used. i think some of the saws (gold saw, platinum saw etc) would be good for this.

just a note to anyone listening to this song: just make sure you listen to the whole thing. the solo towards the end is unbelievable.

dude. you have a lot of potential. i can't wait to hear more of your work!

dude. this is your best song. this is in-fricking-credible. once it gets going this song is exactly what i was telling you about what people want to hear on newgrounds! some things i'd change:
-the kick is good, but the snare, hat and other percussions don't really fit the song.
-the build up is probably one of the best i've heard, but it doesn't climax!!!! i was like, damn this could is gonna make me wanna jump out of my seat and bang my head, but it never really did.... but you could work on that.
-intro is a tad long, but i think it works

ok so basically this song is fucking amazing. it has extreme potential. I don't know if you have heard of nubbinownz, but check out his earlier songs to get some ideas. you're kinda following that genre of music. look at his "mistakes" songs. they have amazing piano that builds into incredible techno.

dude. like honestly. you have potential. with some work, i think you could be 100x better than me. i have trouble with my melodies, but i have everything else down pretty well. you have your melodies down for sure. they evoke emotions. thats beasically the point of music.... and you have that already down.

5/5 10/10 and downloaded. i really hope you get around to finishing this. this has front page potential.

Wow, such a great review!! First off, Thanx!!! Really! i was thinking of ditching this in all honesty, dunno why, just eventually thought i was going in the wrong direction. But yes, many thanx :] nubbinownz sounds kinda fimiliar, ill definitely check that out!

As for the program, i too use FL Studio 8, the synths being Nexus and Vanguard.
And of course i always like to keep an open mind to new kinds music :]

the build up was a bit slow but....

once it gets going with the beat.... holy isht. this song is epic. you should finish this one. make the climax come in a bit earlier and make it go longer. like i said in my comment on your other new song, you're getting it back. good job! glad to see you're making some fresh songs again.
